The TNC is not just about supporting biodiversity, but also human diversity. It does this best by attempting to be socially inclusive of all the people that make up this organization, and its offices bring minority and special-interest groups – and their allies – together through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). This summer, one of the TNC ERGs has created a video challenge to honor and celebrate why “Different is Awesome,” and I was nominated to partake.

I am lucky and privileged to have lived and worked in Indonesia, and alongside its people, for more than two years. With love, warmth and a lot of patience, they have taught me a lot. ❤
